Asalamulaikum guys! This means may peace be upon you. This is what I always pray for you all, that when you come to read my experiences, and the lessons I have learned, you are able to take away some positivity and hope that will carry into your lives.
I’m Isra. A Muslim American Pakistani woman, who is raising a beautiful child with her amazing partner and best friend. Here, I share my personal journeys through motherhood, careers, mental health struggles, and faith (just to name a few).
It’s a hard life. Period. And you know what? Majority of the time it’s hard because we make it out to be. You and me, we’ve been through a lot, right? Despite every struggle that’s thrown our way, we are able to get through it. Because struggles are temporary, and we’re pretty strong willed creatures, even in our darkest moments. We have come to learn that life is full of hard truths. It is chaotic, and messy at times. And that’s the reality. Reality isn’t what you see online, in social media. It’s here. It’s raw. Unedited. And yet, there’s still so much beauty, love, and happiness in small everyday moments that we tend to overlook.
So even if you’re that one person that feels like your life is smooth sailing, and that you don’t face the waves of struggles that push you down, I hope that you stay, and get to read about some personal moments from my life. These are the experiences that have helped me grow into who I am today, and shape who I will be tomorrow.
Sincerely, Isra
